Whose licence plate is this? You cannot look up the owner — you may be able to contact them

Short answer: a Polish licence plate alone will not give you a public name, address, or phone number for the owner. You can still try to pass a message through a contact the owner chose to share. In a dangerous, collision, or offence situation, call the proper services. Individual CEP records are available on application; for another person’s data you must show a legitimate interest.

How do I reach the driver?

Owner data is not in a public plate search. In most everyday cases you do not need a name — you need the driver to hear about the car.

• Check for a contact sticker or a number the owner left on the glass.
• If the vehicle is on DriverLink, use the plate contact form to send a message without seeing the owner’s phone or email.
• Ask nearby staff or passers-by if they know who the car belongs to.
• Leave a short note under the wiper if you can reach it safely.
• If none of that works and the situation is serious, report it to the Police.

Lights left on
